ParticipantChoose five ingredients you already have and see what meal ideas the community can suggest. Add the everyday extras available to you, such as oil, salt, or spices, so replies do not depend on ingredients you are missing.
When suggesting a dish, include quantities, a clear number of servings, and the basic cooking order. Keep optional additions separate from anything the recipe needs to work.
If you try an idea, return with a few notes about the result. What combination worked, and what would you adjust next time?

KeymasterA concrete pantry challenge: Try listing pasta, canned chickpeas, canned tomatoes, frozen spinach, and an onion. Oil, salt, pepper, and water would be the everyday extras. That gives another cook enough information to suggest a usable method.
For a two-serving starting point, use 6 ounces pasta, 1 drained 15-ounce can of chickpeas, 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes, 1/2 cup thawed and squeezed spinach, and half a diced onion. Soften the onion in 1 tablespoon oil, add the tomatoes and chickpeas, and simmer while the pasta cooks. Stir in the spinach until hot, then toss with the drained pasta and a little reserved pasta water.
This is an untested meal idea, so adjust the liquid to suit the pasta rather than treating it as a fixed sauce ratio. If your tomatoes are diced rather than crushed, the sauce will be chunkier.
What five ingredients do you have today? Include whether grains or beans are dry, canned, or already cooked, and tell us how many people need dinner. That detail changes both the quantity and the time needed.
